Actress Claire Danes was the belle of the ball at the MET Gala in New York City on Monday.
The "Homeland" star appeared on the red carpet in a Cinderella-like gown by Zac Posen, but it wasn't until the lights dimmed that Danes literally shone.

looks of the night.
According to FastCo, Posen, "sourced
the fiber optic woven organza in this dress from France and there are
30 mini battery packs sewn into the gown’s under-structure."
The theme of this year's MET Gala was Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology. It was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
