Lekan Shonde, the man who allegedly beat his wife to death last week and has been on the run since then has been arrested by Officers of the Rapid Response Squad in Lagos.
Lekan who spoke to PUNCH Metro from
hiding denied that he killed his wife. He concluded by saying that he is
a Lagos by and can be in Lagos for 30 years without being found.
The police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, said the police tracked him
down, adding that he will be transferred to the State Department of
Criminal Investigation. But Lekan, who has been speaking with our correspondent since 7am till 2.37pm, said he surrendered himself to the police.
