President Donald Trump announces his decision regarding the United
States’ participation in the Paris climate agreement in the Rose Garden
at the White House June 1, 2017 in Washington, DC. Trump pledged on the
campaign trail to withdraw from the accord, which former President
Barack Obama and the leaders of 194 other countries signed in 2015. The
agreement is intended to encourage the reduction of greenhouse gas
emissions in an effort to limit global warming to a manageable level. He stated this in a series of tweets, saying that “Fake and Fraudulent news media is working hard to convince Republicans and others (that he) should not use social media”.
He also took a swipe at CNN saying that he is thinking of changing the name to “#FraudNewsCNN”. He wrote on Twitter:
The FAKE & FRAUDULENT NEWS MEDIA is working hard to convince Republicans and others I should not use social media – but remember, I won the 2016 election with interviews, speeches and social media. I had to beatTrump later tweeted a video showing a man tackling another man who had CNN’s logo as his head, to the ground. The video depicted Trump as the man who tackled the other to the ground, and ended with a logo like CNN’s that read FNN on the down right corner#FakeNews, and did. We will continue to WIN!
I am thinking about changing the name#FakeNews CNN to#FraudNewsCNN!
My use of social media is not Presidential – it’s MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL. Make America Great Again!
