President Buhari condemns “Ruthless Devaluation of the Naira”

President Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday in Abuja decried “the ruthless devaluation of naira”, saying that he was yet to be convinced about the economic benefits of the exercise.
The President who spoke at a break of fast dinner with the business community said that he fails to understand the benefit of the devaluation.

Alleged N4.7bn fraud: EFCC arrests Gov. Fayose’s aide, Abiodun Agbele...Fayose responds!

An aide of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state, Abiodun Agbele has been arrested by the EFCC over allegations of aiding and abetting Fayose to launder part of the N4.7 billion he received from the Office of the former National Security Officer, Sambo Dasuki in June 2014. EFCC is accusing Agbele of receiving N4.7 billion from former Minister of state for Defence, Musiliu Obankoro, and handing it over to Fayose. Agbele was arrested in Lagos last night and is being detained at the Lagos office of the antigraft agency.

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, to vacate office immediately for submitting false information to his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for the party’s governorship primary in December 2014, PUNCH reports.
