Arsenal teenage sensation set to shun England for Super Eagles

The English FA attempt to secure the future of Arsenal star & Jay-Jay Okocha's nephew, Alex Iwobi, seems to have failed as he appears to have committed to Nigeria. Alex Iwobi tweeted his arrival back to Abuja on his official twitter page hours ago. This means he has joined up with the senior Nigeria squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt this week and according to FIFA Rules, if the 19-year-old plays against Egypt, a competitive fixture, he would no longer be eligible to play for another FIFA Affiliated National team.

President Buhari holds emergency meeting over Rivers election, Set to impose a state of Emergency

Nigeria’s main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has exposed an alleged plot to impose a state of emergency on Rivers State by President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The PDP exposed that the plot to remove Governor Nyesom Wike from office by the APC is thickening as Buhari is holding a secret meeting with Senate Majority leader, Ali Ndume, twenty other APC Senators, Femi Gbajabiamila, House Leader of the House of Representatives and 60 other reps.

According to the tweets shared by the PDP on Twitter, the President is holding a meeting on the night of Sunday, March 20, 2016 and the agenda of the nocturnal meeting is to perfect the plot to incite violence in oil-rich Rivers State with the view of unseating the gov, Nyesome Wike.

Marcus Rashford becomes youngest scorer in a MANCHESTER DERBY

Marcus Rashford is breaking records again as the striker found the net against City to nudge ahead of Wayne Rooney as the youngest scorer in a Manchester derby in the Premier League era.

Rooney was 19 when he struck in his side's 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium back in 2005, with Rashford's opening goal past Joe Hart on Sunday ensuring he is almost a year younger than the currently-sidelined United skipper.

As the results of the federal and state legislative rerun elections which held in Rivers, yesterday is being collated, unknown gunmen, Sunday, shot sporadically at Abonnema area of Port Harcourt.
The shooting which lasted for 30 minutes caused pandemonium around Mile 1 and Azikiwe as residents scampered to safety.

INEC Collation Officer For Port Harcourt LGA Caught With Amaechi, Fake Result Sheets (PHOTOS)

An officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) contracted by Rotimi Amaechi, Nigeria’s minister for Transport to help the All Progressives Congress (APC) to rig the Rivers rerun election of Saturday, March 19, 2016 has been arrested by detectives of the Nigeria Police Force.

The officer, Mrs. Ekwi Adebisa (pictured), was apprehended with three fake results after vigilant voters raised an alarm at the collation centre of Ward 10, Port Harcourt Local Government Area where she was presiding.

When the voters sighted her with fake result sheets and she was trying to switch the original with the fake to announce the falsified results, the voters raised alarm and prevented her from changing the result sheets.

Soon after, Rotimi Amaechi stormed the collation centre with over 100 soldiers and abducted Mrs. Adebisa from the collation centre at Ward 10 in Port Harcourt. Her abduction suspended the collation of results at the Ward.

According to an inside source on ground, the INEC officer was taken to Novotel Hotel where Amaechi and Dakuku Peterside, the director general of NIMASA, and Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, the managing director of the NDDC were lodged and the plot to doctor the election results for the Ward was perfected.

But, unfortunately for Amaechi, the voters had lodged a complaint with the police over the matter and the police trailed the INEC officer to Novotel Hotel where she was arrested by the Nigerian Police and taken to Mile 1 Police Station in Port Harcourt.
