Cristiano Ronaldo has touched down in Manchester ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with City on Tuesday evening.
Madrid
will be looking to secure an advantage in their semi-final first leg at
the Etihad Stadium, while Ronaldo is set to return after missing
Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano due to muscle fatigue.
Madrid
last faced City in the Champions League group stages in 2012, with the
first meeting ending in a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium before Ronaldo
struck a late winner at the Santiago Bernabeu in the return fixture.
In
his last game in Manchester over three years ago, Ronaldo scored the
winning goal in a 2-1 victory over his former club United at Old
Trafford.
