Rumors Swirl Donald Trump Will Choose Daughter As Vice Presidential Candidate

ivanka trump Rumors are swirling that Donald Trump might pick his daughter, Ivanka Trump as his VP running mate.
Others on Trump's shortlist include Chris Christie and Sarah Palin. Radaronline reports that the rumors began last December that Ivanka, 34, would be considered for the important role.

The report noted a comment Donald Trump made when he appeared on "Live with Kelly & Michael" last year when he joked that he's considering his own daughter as a possible VP pick, saying she'd do a great job.
Ivanka is Executive Vice President of Development & Acquisitions of The Trump Organization, and is also a model. She maintains an incredibly busy life as a mother of three children and supporting her father in his presidential campaign.

The Washington Post writes that Ivanka Trump has her own empire that "stands on its own feet" without the help of her father's money. The piece went on to say that Ivanka would make a good "campaign surrogate."
It's unlikely Donald Trump will pick his daughter as a VP because he's already stated that he wants someone with some experience in Washington. Although he's never had experience in politics, he knows it's vital someone with experience he can trust fill the position. There's no doubt he views Ivanka as an ideal choice, however.

The Washington Post suggests that Ivanka Trump would be a great vice president because she also knows how to work with her father, understands his ways, is a woman, seems like a capable negotiator, and it would be good for branding.
