Game Of Thrones Finally started on July 17th, See What They Look Like without costumes

Game of Thrones Season 7 started on July 17th, thought it would be a good time to check out HBO's smash hit fantasy series Game of Thrones characters IRL and see what they look like without all the costumes, makeup, prosthetic and wigs? We figured you'd ask, so we put together this list of their characters next to photos.

Aside from familiar names like Peter Dinklage ("Elf"), Lena Headey ("300," "The Sarah Connor Chronicles") and Charles Dance (a very recognizable "that guy" from such films as "The Golden Child" and "Your Highness"), the world was introduced to the likes of Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington and Jack Gleeson.
You wouldn't know half of these people if you passed them on the street!

Kit Harington plays Jon Snow), the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch who was stabbed to death at the end of season five and brought back to life by Melisandre

Lord Eddard 'Ned' Stark (Sean Bean) is a legend among book and show fans, as his was the first of many shocking deaths.

Emilia Clarke (below) plays "Mother of Dragons" Daenerys Targaryen (above), and in case you hadn't noticed, she's a natural brunette.

Rose Leslie played the wildling Ygritte, one of our favorite characters. She's currently dating Kit Harington.

Kristian Nairn is a Northern Irish DJ and plays fan favorite character Hodor. The story behind his name and the only word he ever says was revealed in season six.

Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) didn't appear in the fifth season of the show but came back strong in season six, discovering a whole lot of the history of Westeros. Big things are coming for Bran.

Dutch actress Carice Van Houten plays the Lady Melisandre, aka 'The Red Woman', who is hundreds of years old and is magically able to hide her age.

Peter Dinklage plays Tyrion Lannister, aka "The Imp". To save money he appears on the show with a scar across his face he received in a battle. In the book it was much worse, and Tyrion ends up with worse scarring and sans a nose.

Pedro Pascal played the ill-fated Prince Oberyn Martell, aka The Red Viper.

Indira Varma played his paramour Ellaria Sand. She avenges his death with a simple kiss.

Richard Madden played Robb Stark, the King in the North. Robb sought to unite the north and avenge his father's death, but bailing out on an arranged marriage to marry someone else turned the tide of the war. If he'd kept his word he'd surely be sitting on the Iron Throne by now.

Michelle Fairley played Catelyn Stark, wife of Ned Stark and mother of Robb. She perished, alongside her son, his wife and their unborn child during the Red Wedding. In the books she's brought back to life by the Red Priest Thoros of Myr, but alas, she has yet to make an appearance in the series as Lady Stoneheart, the form she takes when she's resurrected.

Rosabell Laurenti Sellers plays the knife-wielding Tyene Sand. Like their mother, all three enjoy using poisions and Tyene also loves to use her sexuality to taunt those who fall under the poison's spell.

Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) was a slave and interpreter for her master, Kraznys mo Nakloz. She speaks 19 languages and is freed when Daenerys Targaryen kills her master and frees the slaves in Astapor.

Jack Gleeson played King Joffrey Baratheon, the biggest on the show until his death, when someone even more despicable took over as someone we all love to hate.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays Jamie Lannister on the show. He's the one character fans have grown to love despite his despicable past.

Iwan Rheon has taken over as the biggest on the show, Ramsey Snow (Ramsey Bolton since his father bestowed the family name on him despite him being a bastard). Unfortunately his season six death wasn't graphic enough!

Bronn, above, the sellsword who fights for Tyrion Lannister in season one, is played by Jerome Flynn. Flynn and co-star Lena Headey hate each other in real life and refuse to film any scenes together.

Lena Headey plays the despicable Cersei Lannister. Hate her, feel bad for her, hate her again!

Sophie Turner plays the much maligned Sansa Stark in the series.

Charles Dance portrayed Lannister patriarch Tywin Lannister until Tywin's death in the privy in season four.

Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) found her way across the Narrow Sea to Braavos after escaping from The Hound, using a coin given to her by the faceless man Jaqen H'ghar.

Tom Wlaschiha plays the shape-shifting Jaqen H'ghar, who has been revealed as the leader of the Faceless Men - a band of high priced assassins in Braavos.

Gwendoline Christie plays the badass warrior Brienne of Tarth, fighting once for King Renly Baratheon, then the Starks, then alongside Jamie Lannister, whom she befriended.

Jonathan Pryce plays The High Sparrow, the leader of a religious cult that comes to King's Landing and is virtually handed the keys to the city by Cersei Lannister. That doesn't work out too well for her. Or her family. Or the Tyrells.

Alfie Allen plays Theon Greyjoy, who becomes Ramsey Bolton's slave Reek after he's captured. Bolton breaks him by flaying some of his fingers and cutting off his manhood.

Gemma Whelan plays Theon Greyjoy's sister Yara on the show. She and Theon sail across the Narrow Sea to offer Daenerys Targaryen their ships in exchange for rule over their home, the Iron Islands, after their uncle Euron killed their father and usurped the Seastone Chair.

John Bradley plays the cowardly Samwell Tarly, one of the men of the night's watch who is sent from the wall to Oldtown to become a maester.

Hannah Murray plays the wildling Gilly, who escapes Craster's Keep with Sam and her baby, little Sam. The three have stuck together ever since.

All Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) wants is to be the queen of the seven kingdoms. She will let nothing stand in her way and plays the game of thrones just as well as anyone else, rivaling her rival, Cersei Lannister.

Lady Olenna Tyrell, also known as the Queen of Thorns for her sharp tongue, is played by Diana Rigg, who starred in the 60s TV series "The Avengers".

Michiel Huisman plays Daenerys Targaryen's right hand man/lover Daario Naharis. He replaced Deadpool star Ed Skrein, who only appeared in three episodes, beginning in season four.

Kristofer Hivju plays wildling leader Tormund Giantsbane. He joins Jon Snow and the men of the Night's Watch when Snow allows the wildlings passage to the safe side of the wall. He's got a thing for Brienne.

The mysterious Night's King, leader of the others, aka the "White Walkers", is played by Richard Brake. All we know about him is that he's got a serious army of zombies who can only be killed with dragonglass or Valyrian steel swords.

Rory McCann plays Sandor Clegane aka 'The Hound', who everyone though died at the end of season four when Arya Stark left him for dead and headed off to Braavos.

Hafþór Júlíus "Thor" Björnsson plays the ruthless and unbeatable Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane. The role was played by Conan Stevens in two episodes in 2011 before Björnsson took over. Thor is one of the world's strongest men, having won several strongest man competitions.

Mark Addy only appeared in season one, as King Robert Baratheon. He never got to find out that his kids were fathered by his brother-in-law Jamie Lannister and not himself before he was gored by a wild boar during a hunting trip. He succumbed to his injuries days later back in King's Landing, before Ned Stark could tell him the news.

Ania Bukstein plays the mysterious Red Priestess Kinvara, who makes a single appearance in season six, but we know we'll see her again!

The Three Eyed Raven from Bran Stark's dreams is played by Max Von Sydow. He is part of the roots of a Weirwood tree far north of the wall and is sought out by Bran Stark, whose destiny is to replace him.

Aidan Gillen plays brothel owner Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish, who was formerly the master of coin for Robert Baratheon. He has some serious ulterior motives, and it's impossible to tell if he's ever telling the truth.

Conelth Hill (who has hair!) plays the hairless eunuch Varys, aka "the spider". He has people working for him all over the place and he knows all.
