Istanbul Attack: Turkish Official Says Attackers Were Russian, Uzbek & Kyrgyz Nationals as Deaths Rise to 42

A Turkish official on Thursday confirmed that the three suspected Islamic State suicide bombers who attacked the Ataturk International Airport, Istanbul were from Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The suspects are accused of killing 42 people in a gun and bomb attack at Istanbul airport this week.

 The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a Certificate of Return to Uche Ogah, the 1st runner up to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial primaries in Abia state, following the order by Justice Okon Abang of a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Abang had ordered INEC to immediately issue a Certificate of Return to the plaintiff, Ogah in a tax evasion case filed against Ikpeazu.

A Florida man named Thomas Ross claims he and not Steve Jobs created the iPhone and the iPad, and wants Apple to pay him $10 billion for stealing his idea. Thomas, who has sued Apple Inc. cited his sketches from 1992 as evidence that he was the revolutionary genius behind the iPhone.

Deputy Senate President Ekweremadu writes UN, US Congress, EU, Others; claims “there is a clear attempt to silence me”

 Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu has taken the alleged forgery case brought against him, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki,  and two others outside the shores of Nigeria.
In a letter to the United Nations (UN), United States Congress, European Union (EU), and other international organisations, titled: “Re: Trumped Up Charges Against the Presiding Officers of the 8th Senate: Nigerian Democracy is in Grave Danger,” Ekweremadu said that there is a clear attempt to silence him as the leader and highest ranking member of the opposition party – People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He said that the federal government “politically generated” the names for trial, noting that there was no where in the police report where any of their names were mentioned.

Court demands explanations from EFCC and Zenith Bank on Fayose's frozen account.

The Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Zenith Bank plc to show cause why an Order Exparte to defreeze Governor Ayodele Fayose's accounts, filed yesterday to the court by the governor's legal team, should not be granted. The judge gave Monday July 4 for the anti-graft agency and Zenith bank Plc to appear in court with the said evidence.

Alleged N4.7bn fraud: EFCC arrests Gov. Fayose’s aide, Abiodun Agbele...Fayose responds!

An aide of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state, Abiodun Agbele has been arrested by the EFCC over allegations of aiding and abetting Fayose to launder part of the N4.7 billion he received from the Office of the former National Security Officer, Sambo Dasuki in June 2014. EFCC is accusing Agbele of receiving N4.7 billion from former Minister of state for Defence, Musiliu Obankoro, and handing it over to Fayose. Agbele was arrested in Lagos last night and is being detained at the Lagos office of the antigraft agency.
